kadeemlam is a design label made in Brooklyn, New York, from upcycled & found materials + fibers. It's about going back to the basics and making do with what's available.
at the center of the work is knitwear. each piece starts with experimentation with different techniques both old & new, different fibers, and whatever materials come to hand, turned into something beautiful.
my family is from Trinidad and Tobago, and I grew up in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Tthe color, the vibrance, and the way people adorn themselves every day inspire everything I make.
